I use PlayUSB almost every day, and I really like it. There are two things I would like to see implemented — the ability to turn on/off subtitles while playing a video file (perhaps the * button could do this?), but more importantly, files listed in proper alphabetical/numerical order. For some reason, if I have episodes of a TV show that are initially listed 01, 02, 03, and on, they’ll be out of order. For example, I have one show that’s listed at 01, 02, 03, 08, 09, 10, 04, 05, 06, 07. Or if I have a large directory of movies, they’ll be out of order, too. Any ideas?
To use srt subtiltes you just need to have them in the same folder with the same name (like VLC).
You also need to make sure the “Captions” option is enabled in your Roku Settings menu.
Hello, I have been using your PLAY USB Channel for about a week now and love it. This morning, I noticed that every time I try to play a movie, the channel shuts down and I am taken to the Roku home screen. I’ve tried rebooting all equipment and reset my Roku back to factory settings with no luck. Is this a known bug? These same files play with the Roku media player.

Help please Play USB doesn’t doesn’t work on my Roku 3 It can’t play .JPG files, I have tried different size jump drives. All I get is the welcome screen and this ext1:/ usage: 11%. When I click OK I get dumped out of the App. There needs to be a money back button because this doesn’t work.
I purchased your PlayUSB app and when I try to access and display “jpg” files larger than 300×300 the app closes and goes back to my Roku channels list. I would like to see high resolution “jpg” files supported in this app if possible.

Hello,
I just purchased your USB app and love it, I do have a quick question
Where do I go to ask questions?? and do the subtitle srt files have to be “forced” or just in the folder (ie VLC player)???
thanks, and if your NAS app supports UnRaid – I’ll get it too
thanks,
Steve

Hi Mark,
This is only happening with a specific file or any file of your USB drive?

I just fixed this issue, it was result of a recent change on Roku firmware, my channel was failing when there is an image with not a valid date/time.
I submited the update to Roku today, they normally take a few days to review updates and release it.
In addition to this fix, the new version will come with a Bookmarks feature, where you will be able to bookmark folders and files from you drive.
